Chocolate Raspberry Brownies

These easy and chewy Chocolate Raspberry Brownies are super fudgy, have a sweet raspberry sauce swirled on top and are filled with chunks of delicious chocolate.

Ingredients Needed for the Raspberry Sauce: raspberries sugar water

Step 1: Combine raspberries, sugar and water in a small saucepan and heat over medium low heat.

Step 2: Puree raspberry mixture in blender and pour mixture through fine mesh sieve back into the saucepan.

Step 3: Return the heat to medium low and cook for about 10 more minutes.  Cool slightly.

Ingredients Needed for the Brownies: butter chocolate brown sugar flour vanilla egg baking powder salt

Step 1: Melt the butter in a saucepan.  Add the chopped chocolate and stir.  Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 2: Add brown sugar, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla to a bowl and stir with a whisk to combine.

Step 3: Add the chocolate mixture to the brown sugar mixture and stir to combine.

Step 4: Fold in flour, baking powder, salt and chopped chocolate.

Step 5: Spread mixture in prepared square baking pan.

Step 6: Drop raspberry mixture by tablespoonfuls and then drag a knife through to swirl.

Step 7: Bake in 350°F oven for 25-27 minutes.
