Strawberry Muffins with Crumb Topping

These Strawberry Lemon Muffins are packed with fresh, juicy strawberries and tart lemon zest and are topped with a brown sugar and almond crumb topping.

Ingredients Needed for the Muffins: milk vegetable oil egg lemon zest baking powder flour sugar salt strawberries

Step 1: Combine the milk, vegetable oil and egg in a bowl.

Step 2: Fold in the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, lemon zest, and strawberries.

Step 3: Chill batter for at least an hour before filling muffin liners 2/3 of the way full.

Ingredients Needed for the Crumb Topping: almonds flour brown sugar butter

Step 4: Place all of the crumb topping ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine.

Step 5: Spoon the crumb topping on top of the muffins.

Step 6: Bake at 425°F for 7 minutes and then reduce the temperature to 350°F for an additional 9 minutes.

Step 7: Remove from oven and let cool.  Enjoy!
