Chocolate Cupcakes with Strawberry Buttercream Frosting

Step 1: Gather the ingredients for the cupcakes.

Step 2: Combine the dry ingredients.

Step 3: Combine the wet ingredients and add to the dry ingredients.

Step 4: Mix until well blended.

Step 5: Fill muffin liners 3/4 of the way full and bake.

Step 6: Gather the ingredients for the strawberry buttercream.

Step 7: Place freeze dried strawberries in blender or food processor and process until a fine dust forms.

Step 8: Beat butter.

Step 9: Add strawberry powder, powdered sugar and vanilla.  Beat  until light and fluffy.

Step 10: Add the whipping cream and beat.

Step 11: Frost cupcakes and top with chopped chocoalte and a fresh strawberry slice.

Step 12: Enjoy!
